How to minimize lost rewards - data issues.

Allow Popups on RewardsDB.com & each rewards program you join

RewardsDB.com and many rewards programs use popup windows to send you to your selected retailer and for certain other functions. We do not use them for advertising.

By default, some popup blockers (such as the Google toolbar) may block such windows. You'll know this is the case if nothing happens when you click on a retailer or rewards programs link. Please set your popup blocker to allow Popups from RewardsDB.com.

Norton Products

The "Ad Blocker" feature of certain Norton products can interfere with the technology RewardsDB.com and many rewards programs use to ensure you get appropriate credit for your purchases and should be turned off as follows:

"Norton AntiSpam and Norton Internet Security 2005"

1. In the main window, on the left side click Norton AntiSpam.
2. Click Ad Blocking > Turn Off.

"Norton AntiSpam and Norton Internet Security 2004 and earlier"

1. In the main window, double-click Ad Blocking.
2. Uncheck Ad Blocking.

SpyWare and ParasiteWare

Certain software known as SpyWare and ParasiteWare can interfere with your rewards program accounts being credited.

SpyWare is generally downloaded and installed on your machine without your knowledge and can be detected with anti-spyware software, such as SpyDetect and Microsoft Defender. We suggest that you periodically scan your system, not just to ensure that your rewards program purchases are credited, but also for your own security.

ParasiteWare, on the other hand, may be installed with or without the user's knowledge and sometimes "piggy-backs" on other downloaded software that the user knowingly installed. This software actually redirects your rewards program account credit to the ParasiteWare creators' sites.

Unfortunately, several rewards programs have at various times offered toolbar based "helpers" that act in a similar way to ParasiteWare as they block credit to competing rewards programs even when you choose to shop through that other program.

The list of such software that should be uninstalled includes, but is not limited to software downloaded from these sites:

1. BargainBuddy
2. BearShare
3. BuyerSport
4. CommissionMaker
5. e2Give
6. eBates (MoeMoneyMaker )
7. FatWallet
8. Gator
9. GreenThumb
10. HuntBar
11. iGive
12. JambaFind
13. Kazaa
14. LimeWire
15. Morpheus
16. MyPoints
17. NowBox
18. SchoolCash
19. ShopAtHome
20. StreamCast
21. SupportShopping
22. Technology4Kids
23. TopMoxie
24. Upromise
25. WhenU
26. Wurld Media

We recommend you do not install any toolbar or helper except those offered by Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, and Alexa (including the RewardsDB Toolbar).
